Original price tag is thumb tacked on reverse: Little Nest Margaret Livingston $75. The reverse of the price tag is actually a buisness card of what could have been the framer or the gallery where it was retailed. The bottom of the card has been cut off so there is no location given.The card reads: Marcell's Art Studio / Oil Paintings, Water Colors, Prints. / Picture Framing, Cleaning, Restoring, Enamel Art / Phone: AL 1 - 6154. Or not. The card has a pencil "X" on it crossing out this information. Measures 26" x 26" with frame measures 27 1/4" x 27 1/4". In the style of Arshile Gorky's later work which was informed by nature. Lots of underpainting, overlapping of color and areas of paint build up give the piece great texture.
