Vintage 60's Mid Century Modern Abstract Expressionist Painting Sold
With original wood frame (walnut?), this abstract painting, though not dated, has a 60's color palette and the style of abstract expressionism. Oil on artist's board. Measures 18" H x 24" W & with frame measures 19 1/4" H x 25 1/4" H x 1 1/4" D.
Great painting techniques of impasto build up with palette knife, quick brush strokes and staining.
Signed on the reverse behind the framers paper.
Condition: Everything I sell is vintage - it has lived a previous life. This painting is at least 40 - 45 years old. There are a couple areas where the canvas is peeling slightly from the board at the top left & top center right.
